The body is the perfect breeding ground for stress and anxiety.... if you allow it to be!
Stress manifests itself by way of headaches, issues with digestion, back pain, muscle tension, dizziness and sometimes even visible rashes/skin disorders. Stress compromises our immune system, disrupts sleep patterns and creates tension in relationships. Stress can also lead to weight gain.
Exercise is an incredibly powerful tool in providing a space for the body to relax, rejuvenate and set tension free. It also provides a space for the mind to focus on the present moment, leaving worries at the door. Using correct breathing techniques, oxygenates the blood which triggers the brain to CALM, ultimately creating a physiological response in the body that naturally decreases our stress and anxiety.
My Core Classes are so much more conventional than traditional workouts which tend to revolve around weight-bearing exercises and as a result build short, bulky muscles - the type of muscle development that can easily invite injury. The Classes emphasise elongation of the muscles, improving elasticity and joint mobility. A body with balanced strength and flexibility is far less likely to be injured and ultimately can tolerate and adapt more easily to daily activities and stressors enabling the ability to lead a more physically comfortable, body confident life.
It is important to remember that the body will only go where the mind allows it to. It is therefore equally important when you train your body, to train your mind. Mindset is the key to successfully overcoming boundaries and barriers and ultimately if you can unlock your mindset to allow yourself to move towards your goal then everything else will follow. YOU have the power to upgrade your life – success is delivered via successful habits.
